Hurricane
You came in
Whipping winds of wisdom
Your charm flooding
I drown in your unpredictability
A storm on the horizon I never saw coming
My peace destroyed
My breath shallow
The sea swells, the windows rattle with anticipation
The storm approaches
Ferocious
Untamed
Raw
Emotions fall like the drops pounding against the roof
My mind enveloped
My heart reaching out for an anchor as the waters take over
I’m sinking
The cold deep reality drags me further
The light dims
I’m lost
The eye of the storm
A break in my consciousness
I can breath
I can think
I am safe
The storm resurges, but now I’m prepared
I seek shelter in the comfort of my power
